Dr. Kheng Kien Soo, MBBS
About Dr. Kheng
A doctor with a background in family medicine, nutritional and functional medicine, and healthy-ageing care, practising in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Dr. Kheng Kien Soo graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore University. He practises in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
His clinical interests span general and family medicine, nutritional and functional medicine, healthy ageing, and hormonal health in women and men.
A whole-person approach
Modern medicine is highly specialised, which is a genuine strength, but it can leave patients moving between clinicians without anyone looking at the whole picture. Dr. Kheng’s practice is built around the opposite habit: taking the time to understand how diet, sleep, stress, environment and family history interact before reaching a conclusion.
In practice this means consultations are longer than average, and that the first appointment is largely spent listening. Investigations are ordered when they would meaningfully change what is recommended.
